Why is Reiki "Spiritual Healing"?
Reiki is referred to by many people as spiritual healing, even though it also works on a physical body level, because it takes a complete (holistic) approach to a persons life. Illnesses are often simply manifestations of other issues.

Can Reiki do harm?
Reiki energy is, simply, "Universal Life Force Energy", and therefore can never do harm to another person.

Does Reiki heal specific illnesses?
Yes, Reiki can and will heal specific illnesses, however the energy works in much the same way as a builder works, systematically. Reiki energy creates the foundations for healing to take place, then allows the healing to be used.

Does Reiki work on Animals and Plants?
Reiki energy is :Life Force Energy and so works on all living things. Reiki Energy can also be sent to Situations and Places for healing. Reiki is a Peaceful energy, so sending reiki energy into a stressful workplace, a riot or a war zone would assist in calming those involved.

Reiki will not allow healing without consent.

How does Reiki work on Situations?
Reiki energy is :Life Force Energy and so works on all living things. Reiki Energy can also be sent to Situations and Places for healing. After all, all situations and Places are the product of their components, the people and other living things making up the situation. Reiki is a Peaceful energy, so sending reiki energy into a stressful workplace, a riot or a war zone would assist in calming those involved.

How does a Reiki practitioner know that I want healing?
Reiki Practitioners may receiver requests from friends and family for healing on another person, for example if you were involved in a road accident and were unconscious, the ambulance would not wait for consent before starting essential treatment, because it would be considered to be in your best physical interest, e.g. staying alive.
Reiki works on a completely different level, and works not just with the best physical interest, but also in what we call the Highest Good. (highest spiritual good). On a soul level, we all want to be free of illness and emotional issues - as these are not in our best interests. However, a reiki practitioner can only request that healing energy be sent, it is up to your spirit, or soul, to accept it, and how to use the energy that is accepted.
